Paint and Brush Edit Picture
Snow Dough
1 cup salt
water
2 cups flour
2 T vegetable oil(optional)
Fruity Putty
0.3 -ounce package of sugar free fruit flavored gelatin
2 cups flour
1 cup salt
4 tablespoons cream of tartar
2 cups boiling water
2 tablespoons cooking oil
Mix the dry ingredients in a pan. Add the boiling water and cooking oil. Stir over medium-high heat until the mixture
forms a ball. Place the ball on waxed paper to cool. Store in an airtight container. Cut the fruit picture from the gelatin
box and paste to the lid. Use different flavors to make all different colors and smells.
Favorite Play-Dough Recipe
2 cups flour
1 cup slat
2 cups water
2T. baby oil
2T. cream of tartar
Combine dry ingredients. Add liquids. Stir well. MIcrowave on high 4 to 5 minutes. Stir. Microwave an additional 1 minute.
Repeat until it is the consistency of mashed potatoes. Cool enough to touch. Knead. Store in zip-lock bag.
Cloud Dough
1 cup vegetable oil
6 cups flour
1 cup water
food coloring
Add food coloring to water. Put the flour and oil into a large bowl. Slowly add the water, stirring as you pour. Continue
mixing the ingredients until a soft dough forms. Add a little more water or flour if necessary. Knead until completely blended.
Cinnamon Dough
1 cup ground cinnamon
3/4 cup applesauce
Mix cinnamon and applesauce until a stiff dough is formed. Roll out to a 1/4" thickness. Cut into shapes with cookie
cutters. If the shape is to be used as an ornament, make a hole at the top of each shape to lace sting through. Air dry several
days on a wire rack, tuning each ornament occasionally.
Sparkling Salt Clay
1 cup cornstarch
about 1 1/2 cups cold water
2 cups rock salt (regular salt can be used)
1 cup water
Thin cornstarch with 1 1/2 cups cold water until it is as thick as gravy. Boil salt in 1 cup water. Add the cornstarch
mixture to the boiling salt water, stirring constantly to avoid lumping. Cook until mixture forms a large mass. Turn out onto
wax paper and cool. Store in an airtight container. (finished project may be dried in 250 degree oven for 1 hour, or allow
to air dry.)
Baker's Clay
4 cups flour
1 cup salt
1 1/2 cups water
food coloring
Mix all ingredients. Shape and air dry about 48 hours, or bake in 250 degree oven for 1 hour. Paint or decorate, then
shellac or varnish.
Mix all ingredients together. If you want the dough to harden, leave out the vegetable oil. If you want it pliable, add
the oil.
Dinosaur Dough
2 cups flour
1 cup salt
4 tsp. cream of tartar
2 T. vegetable oil
2 cups boiling water
2 pkgs. unsweetened Kool-Aid

Mix first four ingredients. Add Kool-Aid to boiling water. Mix everything together thoroughly. Knead when cool enough
to handle. Store in sealed plastic bag.

getting to know all of your children's qualities that make them the special person they are.

We will take time to hear what your children have to say, and you too
I Interesting. We will send home day sheets so you can talk with your child about the interesting
things that they did.
